Mark joined Tsunami Tsolutions in May of 2020 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to the Chief Executive Role in September of 2023. In his role as CEO, he is responsible for the establishment and execution of the company’s business strategies and growth objectives. Tsunami Tsolutions is a privately held Engineering and IT support company focused on the tools and services that support the compliant operation of complex assets across the aerospace and defense market. Tsunami is based in Connecticut and Florida with supporting sites in Ottawa, Canada, Dayton, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky.
Before joining Tsunami, Mark Buongiorno served as Vice President and General Manager for StandardAero’s Engine, Nacelle, Component MRO and Engine Test facility in San Antonio, Texas. At StandardAero, Mark led the transformation of this location from a single, military engine-focused facility to a diverse, FAR-145 Certified operation supporting both Military and Commercial customers. The site now supports five engine families, including new engine assembly and test of the GE F110 engine as well as MRO for multiple models of the T56, J85, F110, AE2100 and RB211. In his role, Mark led all site functions including engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, facilities, and EHS.
Mark holds a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science (BS) Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Certificate of Management from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia.
